How do I create Sections in a Form?
After Creating a Form, you can choose from various Form Builder Fields to add fields to your form. In Kuali Build, Sections act like containers for questions and help us organize our form. You will want to ensure that your gadgets appear inside a section so that they're visible to the user.
1. To add a Section to your form, select Section from the list of gadgets and drag it into the middle panel.
2. In the Configuration Panel add a name for your section by typing it into the Field Label field.
- The Field Preview box in the center panel will show you how the Field label looks.
In this screenshot example, I typed "Travel Request Documentation" as the Field Label.
Note: I can choose which information will show in the rendered form by checking or un-checking the "Show field label on form" checkbox available throughout the Form Editor. You can view this setting by clicking on "Show Advanced Settings."
4. Once you have added your section, select a field, and drag it to the desired location in the Middle Panel. Make sure your field is placed within a section!
How do I edit a Section in a Form?
To edit a section in a form, simply click on the section's field label bar (where the field label is displayed), and the section's configuration panel will open and be free for you to edit.
Note: If you create a section, add fields, and remove the field label from appearing on the form, you will be unable to select the section by simply clicking on the section label. To edit a section in this scenario, hold down ctrl (PC users) or cmd (Mac users) when you click on a field and the containing section will be selected.
