How do I create Fields in a Form?

After Creating a Form and adding a section to your form, you can choose from various Form Builder Gadgets to add to your form. 

Note: You will want to ensure that your gadgets appear inside a section so that they're visible to the user. 

1. To add a gadget to your form, select one from the list of gadgets and drag it into the middle panel within a section. I dragged a Short Text field into my previously created "Travel Request Documentation" section. 

Note: When you drag and drop the gadget onto your section, the blue "Drop Here" box will show you the placement of your field within the form. The box should be large (about half the size of the previous field) to ensure that it is in the section. If the "Drop Here" box is very thin, your field will be placed outside of your section. You may need to move the field around until you get the correct location to appear. You can see an example of a large "Drop Here" box in a screenshot from another form below.

2. In the Configuration Panel add a name for your field by typing it into the Gadget Label/Question field. 

• The Form Preview box in the center panel will show you how the field will look in your form.

In this screenshot example, I typed "Full Name" as the Gadget Label/Question.

How do I edit a gadget (field) in a form?

To edit a gadget in a form, simply click on the gadget's label bar (where the Gadget Label/Question is displayed) in the middle panel, and the gadget's configuration panel will open and be free for you to edit.

How do I copy a gadget (field) in a form?

To copy a gadget in a form, simply click on the gadget's label bar (where the Gadget Label/Question is displayed) in the middle panel, and the gadget's configuration panel will open. To copy the gadget click Duplicate at the bottom of the panel. This will copy the gadget and all of its settings. Once copied the duplicated gadget will appear below the original gadget. For gadgets in a table, the new gadget will appear to the right of the original. 

• Note: Tables and sections cannot be duplicated.

How do I delete a gadget (field) in a form?

 To delete a gadget in a form, simply click on the gadget's label bar (where the Gadget Label/Question is displayed) in the middle panel, and the gadget's configuration panel will open. To delete the gadget click Remove Gadget at the bottom of the panel.
